DEATH'S SAD ROLL
  Mr. Lindsay C. Woods died at his home at Buffalo, Alabama, on Saturday Jan.
29th, and his remains were brought to Newton county for interment Monday. Little
dreamed the writer that when he penned the marriage notice of Mr. Woods to Miss
Mollie Webb, of this county, on September 2, that before the flowers of Spring
should bloom we would be called upon to record his death. He was blessed with
will and energy, was kind at heart and an honest man in the fullest sense of
that admirable word. He was raised in Henry and Newton counties, and by his 
adherance to principle, right and duty he established a character that any young
man on earth might well feel proud of. He is gone and we shall miss him from 
our earthly sight, but in memory's silent chamber he has and holds a place that 
is all his own, and which the storms of time cannot displace. He was a brother 
of Mrs. A. H. S. Davis, of Covington, and has relatives, friends and loved ones 
to mourn his death. The Enterprise tenders condolence to the bereaved kindred
and dear ones of the deceased.
