The Georgia Enterprise, Dec.15, 1887
  Mrs. Clifford Roberts, wife of Rev. J. W. Roberts, died at her husband's
residence in Augusta, one day last week. She was a daughter of Mr. J. S. 
Stewart, school commissioner of Newton County, and her remains were buried in
Oxford. Doctors Hopkins and Callaway conducted the funeral services. Mrs. 
Roberts was a most excellent lady and her sad death is lamented by all who knew 
her.
