Turner In as much as God has seen fit to remove from us Sara C. Turner, on account of the good wrought by her labors and the influence of her noble Christian character, we mourn our loss and pry our humble tribute to one ever held bear by us all, and the influence of whose character shall never die. We were all dazed at the unexpected news of her death, and until yet it is hard to realize that Sara has passed to her reward. A great loss and a great pity for us, for one so pure, so kind and good, to be carried to the skies, when we need her so badly in this world. Heaven was richer on her arrival and we are poorer by our loss; but still we are rich in memory of the deeds she did, and kindnesses shown. How our memory lingers! Our eyes fill with tears and we can write no more. But we shall ever hold her friendship dear and treasure in our hearts the many things that words fail to express. Her's was a life of service, spent for Christ and for those with whom she came in contact. How could one do more in twenty two years than she did, make no enemies and leave all who knew her to mourn her departure. Happy at her duty, she was not content at doing nothing. Her friends begged her not to work so hard, but work was for her a pleasure and she was not content until she felt that her duty was done. School children and Sunday school class, may God bind up your broken hearts and inspire you with a hope and desire to meet her on that beautiful shore in a land that is fairer than day. To you has been commended her beautiful character; take her life as an ideal, and strive at all times to do just as you think she would under your circumstances. Hard indeed it is, to give her up; but the good alone are fit to die. In tributes paid to her memory she has been described in her fairness and purity as "rosy cheeked and lily-hearted." Another has compared her life to that of a beautiful perfect flower, transplanted by the Almighty Hand from earth to Heaven, leaving us only the fragrance- an apt and a beautiful comparison to the weight and influence of her noble character. She has gone forever from this world and nothing we can say or do will bring her back. We can only hope to go where she has gone; and may God be with us until we have crossed the bar and met our Pilot face to face. A. B. Additional Comments: This is the second obit for Miss Sara C.
