The Georgia Enterprise, August 22, 1884
     Mr. James Y. Thompson, an aged and valued citizen of this county, died at 
the residence of his son in law, B. F. Camp, Esq., on Sunday morning last. Aged
near 85 years. One by one the precious links that bind the past to the present
are being severed- one by one our beloved old people are being gathered to 
their Father's mansion beyond the skies, where pain and sorrow are unknown.
