Death of Mrs. J. D. Payne Wednesday
  Mrs. W. D. Payne, eighty five years of age died Wednesday morning at one
thirty o'clock, after a several weeks illness at the home of her daughter,
Mrs. P. J. Christian on Floyd Street.
  The funeral service was held at Patterson's undertaking Chapel in Atlanta
at 10:00 o'clock Thursday morning being conducted by Rev. C. J. Harrel of
Atlanta.
  She is survived by one son, Mr. A. M. Payne, New York City and four daughters,
Mrs. P. J. Christian, Covington, Mrs. L. P. Rosser, Atlanta, Mrs. A. J. Rushing,
Ennis, Texas and Mrs. John Sullivan, Tampa, Fla.
