He was 74 years old, and had lived in this county all of his life. Jim Pace was well known and generally liked by all the white people of this community and was a good citizen and law abiding negro. He was buried Sunday afternoon in the colored cemetery here, in the presence of probably one of the largest colored funerals ever witnessed in this city.
