DEATH'S SAD ROLL
  Our community was shocked Wednesday eve when the sad announcement was made
that Capt. James G. Paine, of Brick Store district, was dead. He had been sick
only a short while. At the time of his demise he was near 60 years of age, and
the youngest looking man to his years in the county. He was a gallant, 
chivalrous gentleman, who knowing the right, had the manhood and courage to
always maintain it. Our sympathy goes out to his friends and loved ones in their
great affliction.
