DEATH'S SAD ROLL
  Mr. Wm. H. Petty, died of heart trouble, at his home near Covington, on Sunday
night, June 14th. Age about 54 years. The death of this good man will bring
sadness to many hearts and homes here and elsewhere, for he was esteemed and
honored by all who knew him. He was honest, courteous and accommodating, being
a useful citizen, loyal Methodist, true friend and a devoted husband and
father. He did his best while living to make those around him comfortable
and happy. He leaves a wife, several children and many friends and relatives
to mourn his untimely departure. His body was laid to rest in the family
section in the city cemetery in Conyers on Tuesday.
