From Kings
     Dr. John Parks, who was formerly a practicing physician of this place died 
here yesterday, after a long and most painful illness. He was a good and 
enterprising citizen and successful doctor up to the time of the first attack 
of the disease that finally killed him. Since the last attack which lasted 
about a year, he has never left his bed. he leaves a wife and three children 
and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his loss. Peace to his ashes.
