JOHN W. PITTS, aged 69 years. The immediate cause of his death is supposed to have been an attack of Cramp Colic, to which he had long been subject. At 1 o’clock he waked his wife, who expressed great alarm at his complaints, to which he replied that they might well be alarmed. She went to the mantle-piece for medicine, and on returning, she found him dead. Col. PITTS had long been connected with the Methodist Church, and stood high in the estimation of the community, who sympathize deeply with his family in this sudden bereavement.
