Sanders Capt. Charles H. Sanders died of Consumption in Madison, on Tuesday night, July 8, and was buried Wednesday evening with Masonic honors. Aged ?2 years. Capt. Sanders was born and raised in Covington and had many warm personal friends in this county. He made a gallant soldier and was universally beloved by the brave men under his command. After the war he did business in Covington for a few years, but owing to the condition of his health and other causes he was compelled to close out. After which he removed to Madison where he remained until his death. Additional Comments: I think Capt. Sanders age is listed as 82, but it is very hard to read.
