A. Simpson, Dead A death that has cast a gloom over our city and caused a sad ending of the Christmas holiday, was that of Mr. C. A. Simpson, which occured at Macon Friday evening. Mr. Simpson was an employee of the Central of Ga. R. R., and in some manner fell from the trestle at Macon Friday evening. The fall of thirty feet broke his neck and crushed the skull at the back of the head, and death was almost instantaneous. Jack, as he was called, was upright, sincere, courteous, and generous almost to a fault, and had many friends, not only here but throughout the state. He leaves an aged and blind mother, one sister, a number of neices and nephews, and scores of friends to mourn his untimely death.
