Skinner Passes on March 11th. Mrs. Caroline Skinner, eighty-six years of age, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Laura Cook, on March 11th, twenty-one years after her husband passed away. Mrs. Skinner was a devoted member of the Methodist church from early child- hood and was an excellent Christian lady whose death was the source of genuine regret among her many relatives and friends. The deceased is survived by six children, W. A. Skinner, Mrs. Laura Cook, C. U. Skinner, J. L. Skinner, Mrs. C. C. Lunsford and Mrs. J. M. Johnson, all of Newton county, who united in the verdict that "she was the best mother in the world." The remains were interred at Starrsville on the afternoon following the day of her death. Rev. W. A. Simmons, pastor of the Mansfield charge, conducting the obsequies inthe presence of a large and sorrowing concourse of relatives and friends.
