She had been in ill health for a number of years, and confined to her bed for more than two months. Mrs. Smith was sixty three years old. She was a plain, unassuming, sympathetic, Christian woman; a loving and faithful mother and friend. In an unusual degree she enjoyed the love, and confidence and respect of a large number of friends. Mrs. Smith lived an humble, devoted Christian life and died steadfast in the faith of the Master. She is survived by two sons, Hon. Chas. G. Smith, formerly owner and editor of the Enterprise and Mr. Carl Smith, both of this city, and three sisters, Mrs. Nannie Bragan, of Jonesboro; Mrs M. E. Jordan, of Macon, and Miss Emma Tigner, of Covington. The interment was at West View Cemetery on Sunday afternoon in the presence of a large concourse of sorrowing friends. Rev. R. C. Cleckler conducted the funeral services. This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/gafiles/ File size: 1.6 Kb
