The Covington Star, May 13, 1885
     Mrs. Sockwell, wife of Mr. William Sockwell, living on the Oxford Road, 
near Midway, died suddenly on last Friday night, of cramp colic. Mrs. Sockwell 
was in her usual health, when she was taken suddenly ill, and died within half 
an hour, and before a physician could be sent for. She leaves a husband and 
five little children to mourn her death. Her remains were buried at Cedar 
Shoals on Sunday morning.
