  Funeral services for Mrs. Catherine M. Stacey of Covington were conducted 

December 27 at the Chapel of Cladwell and Cowan Funeral Home with Rev. J. S. 

Brown officiating.

  Mrs. Stacy, 48, died in a private hospital December 25 following an extended 

illness. A native of Rockdale County, she was the daughter of the late John 

Mahaffey, and had been a resident of Covington for nearly 2 years.

  Interment was in East Veiw Cemetery in Conyers with Caldwell and Cowan 

Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Serving as pallbearers were Jimmy 

Kitchens, Johnny Kitchens, Gerald Kitchens, Buck Newkirk, Randy Green and 

Raymond Landers.

  Surviving are her husband, Troy E. Stacey, sons, Terry Eldon Stacey, both of 

Covington; David Carl Stacey, U.S. Army; daughters, Mrs. Darlene Carter, 

Oxford; Miss Sharon Stacey, Covington; Mother, Mrs. Jessie S. Mahaffey, 

Conyers; sisters, Mrs. Ferrell Newkirk, Norcross; Mrs. Louise Kitchens, 

Conyers; Mrs. Virginia Green, Marietta; and two grandchildren.
