MRS. STARR DEAD
     We are pained to record the death of Mrs. Martha Starr, which occurred on 
last Sunday morning. Her death was very sudden. She was taken sick and died in 
about thirty minutes. She was the mother of Mr. Joe Starr with whom she has 
lived for a number of years. She leaves several children and two brothers, Mr.
Joe  and Columbus Epps, who with many friends will miss her sadly. She was 
tenderly laid to rest on Monday, the funeral services being conducted by Rev. 
Mr. Carson. A very large crowd attended the services to pay a last tribute
to a most worthy woman.
