DEATH’S SAD ROLL
     Miss Callie Stewart, of Oxford, and daughter of County School 
Commissioner, Joseph S. Stewart, departed this life Saturday afternoon last and 
was buried Sunday. Bishop Key, Rev. Doctor Walter R. Branham and Doctor Morgan 
Callaway conducted the funeral services, in the presence of a large number of 
mourners and dear friends. The deceased was just 20 years of age, and was 
deservedly popular with all who knew her. She was a a noble, generous, 
charitable Christian young lady, whose untimely death has produced sorrow in 
many hearts and homes. This is the second grown daughter Mr. Stewart has lost 
within a year.
