DEATH’S SAD ROLL
     Mrs. Mary SULLIVAN, one of the best and noblest ladies in Newton County, 
after an illness of about three weeks duration, fell asleep on Monday morning 
last, at 3 o’clock. Aged 67 years. She had been a member of Hopewell Church for 
near half a century and had always discharged her duty well and faithfully. She 
leaves six children and many friends and loved ones to lament her death and 
cherish her precious memory. She was the mother of Mr. S. M. SULLIVAN, of this 
city, and Mr. T. T. SULLIVAN, of Rocky Plains.
