A. Turner Dies Mr. Asbury Turner, brother of M. G. Turner, cashier and vice-president of the Newton County Bank, was buried Saturday morning in Decatur. Mr. Turner was 89 years old and died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W. E. Williams in Quitman, Miss. He is survived by his brother, four sisters and three daughters. One son, Dr. H. C. Turner of Greenville, S. C., also survives him. Mr. Turner was a useful citizen and died full of years and honor, hallowed by all who knew him. Rev. Dr. J. W. Quillian and Dr. Henry Mays, both distinguished Methodist preachers conducted the burial services. Mr. Turner was born in Monroe county and engaged in the mercantile business in Forsyth, later moving to Atlanta. As a member of First Georgia Volunteers, he distinguished himself in the war between the States and during his career in Atlanta was a member of the Tige Anderson Camp of Confederate Veterans.
