DEATH’S SAD ROLL
     Mr. John T. THOMPSON departed this life in Covington on the evening of 
June 2, 1892. He was a kind hearted man and leaves many relatives and friends 
to lament his death. Aged about 51 years. His remains were laid to rest in the 
cemetery at Hopewell Church, in Rocky Plains district, near the home of his 
boyhood. We shall miss friend John, for he was social and companionable. May he 
sleep sweetly.
