Mortal Remains of Mr. Jno. Wright Consigned to the Tomb - The Deceased Had Many Friends. On last Saturday morning at 8 o'clock, the pinions of death hovered for a moment over a bedside in Leguin and Mr. John S. Wright passed from life to death and ...gh a trial of death to grand... of that other life whence comes summons to change, where no ... ties are severed, and all is ... For several months past he has been a sufferer, and it was known that the wick of life was burning short. But bravely the sufferer battled, at times seemingly better, first sinking, then another apparent gain, and another loss, until his totally exhausted nature yielded the germ of life. Mr. Wright was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Columbus Wright, and was born in Newton county September 2, 1855. He is survived by his wife and ten children, two brothers and one sister. Mr. Wright was one of the most prominent men of the county. He was universally loved and no man in Newton county could lay claim to more friends than he. As a husband, father and friend, he was an example worthy of emulation. S. W. B. Additional Comments: Parts of the article cannot be read, and partial words have been completed with my best guess.
