H. WOODRUFF PASSES EARLY SUNDAY MORNING Prominent Porterdale Citizen is Survived by Widow and Seven Children. Mr. B. H. Woodruff, one of Newton county’s best known and most highly respected citizens, died at his home at Porterdale at 4 o’clock Sunday morning, leaving his widow and seven children, one of whom is W. A. Woodruff, superintendent of the Porterdale Mills, to mourn his loss, together with a large number of relatives and friends. The funeral services were conducted and the interment made at Salem Camp Ground Monday in the presence of a large congregation, who assembled to pay the last tribute of respect to the deceased. Mr. Woodruff was for many years prominently and influentially identified with various enterprises and was a power for good in the community of his residence and a county-wide factor at all times. ----------- Same Edition LIBERTY NEWS Porterdale, Ga., August 7 ~Mr. L. O. Woodruff, of Bullard, was called home by the death of his father. ~Lieut. B. H. Woodruff, of Camp Wheeler, was called home Friday by the death of his father. ~Mr. John Woodruff, of Washington, D. C. was called home last week by the death of his father. ~Our vicinity was very much grieved by the death of Mr. B. H. Woodruff. The bereaved family has a host of friends here who mourn his death and pray God to richly bless them in their sorrow.
