Wright who conducts a market in the city died on February 27th after a short illness, and was buried on the afternoon of the 28th. Rev. F. Simmons conducting the ceremonies, assisted by Rev. Geo. W. Johnson. She was a well known and much liked colored woman, having been a good member of New Hope Baptist church and a charitable disposition. She was married twenty years at the time of her death. All colored societies followed the body to its last resting place as a tribute of respect.
