M. WEAVER DEAD Maj. Nick M. Weaver, a prominent citizen of Parrott, Terrell county, departed this life on Feb. 25, 1897, at the age of about 67 years. He was a brother of Mrs. Mary M. Brown and an uncle of Mr. Ike W. Brown, of Covington, and was the first of seven brothers and sisters to die. He was a courtly gentleman, kind and good to everybody, and the news of his death will carry sorrow to the hearts of his many friends and relatives in Georgia and other sections of the country. In writing about Major Weaver a Dawson correspondent says, “He built the first brick store in what is now the thriving town of Parrott, and did much more to add to the prosperity of the place in which he lived. He was a sociable man in a remarkable degree, and ever had a kind word for every one he met.” File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ga/newton/obits/w/ob5814weaver.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/gafiles/ File size: 1.5 Kb
