Death Claims Mrs. John David Wiley
     Following an illness of sometime, Mrs. Mattie Wiley, age 49, wife of John 
David Wiley, passed away at her home near Covington, Wednesday afternoon.
     The  funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at three o’clock at the 
Methodist Church at Jersey. Rev. W. C. Harris conducting the services, 
interment following in the Jersey cemetery.
     Surviving Mrs. Wiley are her husband, five daughters, Miss Etta Wiley, 
Mrs. John Thomas, Mrs. D. W. Hamby, Mrs. J. J. Higginbotham, Mrs. Ed McThurn, 
and one son, John Hugh Wiley, two sisters, Mrs. Ed Beam and Mrs. Tony Ewing, 
and one brother, Mr. Gus Smith.
