DEATH’S SAD ROLL
     Miss MELLIE M. WRIGHT died at the home of her sister, Mrs. Wilson L. 
Davis, of Rocky Plains district, last Tuesday morning, June 2nd. She was a most 
excellent lady and had been in feeble health for a long time. She was a 
Christian lady and did good all the years of her life. She made her home from 
time to time with her brother here in town, Mr. Franklin Wright, and was 
beloved by all who knew her. Her remains were laid to rest in the Covington 
Cemetery Wednesday morning. May this gentle lady sleep sweetly until the 
resurrection morning.
