Home is that of Robert "Franklin" Wright (1821-1919) and wife Salina Frances Robinson (1831-1905), called "The Cedars". Home later known as "Whitehall" on Monticello St. Names of those pictured come from THE GLORY OF COVINGTON by William Bailey Williford, page 151. They are children of Franklin Wright: Boykin Robinson Wright (1852-1932) who lived in Augusta and served as Atty. General of GA and in GA General Assy., Sara Jane Kessiah "Jeannie" Wright Weldon who married of Frank W. Weldon in this home in 1894, and Robert Franklin Wright, Jr. (1850-1926) who taught school in Elberton and served as Asst. Commissioner of Agriculture for Georgia. Additional Comments: Franklin Wright brother of my GG Grandfather Christopher Columbus Wright (1812- 1891). In 1870 census, these 2 brothers living in Oxford with combined 23 males students from Oxford College living in their homes, including 8 of their children.
