Daniel, b. Oct 2, 1816, d. July 22, 1864 Additional Comments: Born in England, came to Georgia and married Huldah Battle Colley, daughter of Joel and Mary Colley. George and Huldah had several daughters before she died in 1857. During the War he became the Adjutant of the 8th Regt of Georgia State Guards. While on leave, he was at the train station in Covington waiting for one of his daughters to return when Union cavalry under Gen Garrard captured him. They held a drum-head court martial and executed him.
