     Invitations have been issued announcing that Miss LUCIE BAGBY will be 
united in marriage to Mr. MARCELLUS SPEER, on April 15th. Miss Lucie is the 
only daughter of Col. R. W. Bagby, of Covington, while Mr. Speer is a son of 
Hon. Thomas J. Speer, of east Newton.

     Mr. Marcellus Speer, was united in marriage to Miss Lucie Bagby on 
Wednesday, April 15. Rev. R. J. Bigham officiated. All of Newton County. May 
peace and plenty, joy, health and happiness bless this union.

     Mrs. Marcellus Speer, nee Miss Lucie Bagby, received many valuable bridal 
presents, among the number being a handsome silver service from her father, 
costing sixty dollars.
