BRILLIANT MARRIAGE
     
The marriage of Miss Lewie BIGHAM, of Covington, to Mr. Leon P. SMITH, of 
LaGrange, at the Methodist Church here Thursday last, was an event that will 
long be remembered by all who witnessed the impressive ceremony. The church was 
elaborately and beautifully decorated. Invitations had been sent to almost 
every family in the city, and many friends from abroad were in attendance. 

The ceremony was performed by Presiding Elder BIGHAM and Rev. R. W. BIGHAM. 

The bride is a lovely and most charming young lady, being a daughter of Rev. 
and Mrs. R. W. BIGHAM, while the groom is a cultured gentleman, being 
energetic, warm-hearted and true. 

The attendants were: 
T. L. SMITH, of LaGrange, with Miss Madge SMITH, LaGrange; 
Mr. Wm. B. LEE, Jr., Covington, with Miss Maggie BARRETT, Dalton; 
F. B. DAVIS, Atlanta, with Miss Mary CHAMBLISS, Cedartown; 
C. E. WILSON, Decatur, with Miss Daisey DAVIS, Atlanta; 
R. B. GAILEY, Conyers, with Miss Ida EDWARDS, of Covington.

Little Miss Mabel CRAWFORD, Milledgeville, and

Miss Lula STUBBS, of Dalton, presided at the organ. 

     The happy pair, accompanied by a number of friends, left on the noon train 
for the home of the groom in LaGrange. May peace and plenty bless this blissful 
union.
