DEARING, of Covington, was united in marriage to Miss MATTIE W. CALLAWAY, of Oglethorpe County. Rev. Dr. Morgan Callaway, of Oxford, officiated. The ceremony came off at the home of the bride’s parents, Colonel and Mr. Thos. P. Callaway and was witnessed by representatives from the families of the contracting parties. The happy couple will leave for their new home in Covington soon after their marriage and spend Tuesday evening at the hospitable home of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Dearing, parents of the groom, where a warm welcome was in waiting for them. An elegant dinner was spread to which relatives and special friends had been invited and were present. Mirth and pleasure, anecdote and rich humor ruled the hours, while congratulations and good wishes were extended by all to the newly wedded pair. The groom is a gentle man of truth, honor and high integrity, while the bride possesses a loving heart and a sweet disposition. We in common with their hosts of friends here and elsewhere, wish them a long life of peace and plenty, joy, health and happiness.
