Carr-Jenkins
     A marriage of unusual interest to the people of Covington is that of Miss 
Clara Carr, of this city, to Mr. B. C. Jenkins, of Columbus, which is to occur 
at the home of the bride on January 8th.
     Miss Carr is the oldest daughter of Mr. Ed P. Carr, formerly of this city, 
and has made her home with her grandparents here for a number of years. She is 
one of Covington’s social favorites, a young lady of many traits of character 
and loved by all her associates.
     Mr. Jenkins is one of the leading cotton merchants of Columbus and is very 
popular, both social and in business.

According to Newton County Georgia Marriages, Book XI Bennett Crawford Jenkins
and Clara Cureton Carr did marry on the 8th of January, 1908.
