H. Carroll on Wednesday. Dr. James E. Dickey performed the ceremony. The beautiful home was elegantly decorated with palms for the occasion. Miss Marie Evans of Oxford rendered the wedding march. After the ceremony the guests repaired to the dining room where the table was tastily arranged, Miss Adel Turner, the brides best friend cut the wedding? and presented each guest with a souvenir of the occasion. The presents were numerous and elaborate. The father of the groom presented the couple with five thousand dollars in gold and the mother of the groom presented the couple with a beautiful and costly mahogany chest of silver. Many other presents were given the couple by friends and relatives. They left on the 6:50 train, for a tour the Carolinas and Tennessee. Additional Comments: The Enterprise, September 28, 1906 Carroll-Gatliff Mr. and Mrs. James Hullum Carroll announce the marriage of their daughter, Bessie to Mr. James Blaine Gatliff, of Williamsburg, Ky. The marriage is to occur Wednesday afternoon October 10th, 4 p. m. at the home of the bride’s parents. Miss Carroll is one of Covington’s most lovable young women and a social favorite among the young people. Her many friends will read the announcement with interest. Mr. Gatliff is one of Williamsburg’s most successful young business men, a young man worthy in every respect of the hand of the fair bride he has won.
