Stewart-Terrell
  One of the prettiest social events of the early winter was the marriage of
Miss Isabel Stewart, of Lexington, and Mr. Clarence Terrell, of Covington,
which was solemnized Wednesday evening, Nov. 24th at the home of the brides
mother, in Lexington, Rev. Mr. Smith, of Greensboro, officiating.
  The hall, dining room and parlor were all thrown together and lavishly
decorated with handsome palms, soft feathery ferns, foliage plants and fragrant
white roses and in the parlor where the ceremony took place an improvised alter
was formed of four white columns twined with a soft green tracery of ferns
from which white tulle was draped to form an arch in the center of which
were two white hearts under which the couple stood. The bride entered with her
brother, Mr. Will Stewart and was met at the alter by the groom and his best
man, Mr. C. S. Thompson, of Covington. The wedding march was beautifully
rendered by Miss Crawford.
  The bride was a charming figure in her wedding gown of soft white satin 
trimmed in real lace. The tulle veil which fell in graceful folds was caught
to her soft hair with a coronet of orange blossoms and she carried a shower
bouquet of brides roses and lillies of the valley. After the ceremony a 
dainty ice course was served.
  Mr. and Mrs. Terrell left Thursday for Cuba where they will spend a week
or two before coming to Covington their future home.
  They will be at home to their friends at the handsome home of the grooms 
parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. D. Terrell.
