TOLAR- HOLMES WEDDING
     A marriage characterized by beautiful simplicity and of interest to a wide 
circle of friends and relatives was that of Miss Allene Tolar, daughter of Mrs. 
J. F. Tolar of Newborn and Mr. Ralph Welton Holmes of Miami, Fla. which was 
solemnized Sunday morning December 26th at ten o’clock at the home of the bride.
     Rev. A. O. Haggarty, pastor of the Methodist church, performed the 
ceremony in a very impressive manner in the presence of a few intimate friends 
and near relatives.
     The living room where the ceremony took place was attractively decorated 
with ferns and cut flowers.
     The bride, a lovely blonde was becomingly attired in a powder blue crepe 
dress with accessories to match and a corsage of pink rose buds and valley 
lilies completed her costume.
     Following the wedding a luncheon was served for the assembled guests.
     The bride is the youngest daughter of Mrs. J. F. Tolar and since her 
graduation she has held a responsible position  with the Atlanta Clearing 
House, where she has made numerous friends, who will regret to see her leave.
     Mr. Holmes is a splendid, young business man, being connected with the 
Hill Motor Co., of Miami, and held in high esteem by his business associates.
     Mr. and Mrs. Homes left during the afternoon by motor for a short wedding 
trip and after January 1st will be at home to their friends at 629 S. W. 10th 
Ave., Miami, Fla.
     Mrs. Holmes is a niece of the late Sheriff S. M. Hay.
