Holley Weaver, of Mansfield, the wedding to occur on the afternoon of Wednesday, October 23, at 3:30 o’clock, at the home of the bride’s parents, Capt. and Mrs. G. D. Heard, on Floyd Street. Miss Heard is one of Covington’s loveliest and most attractive young ladies and has a host of admiring friends who will be interested to learn of her coming marriage. Mr. Weaver is a most excellent young man, who numbers his friends by the score, and holds the responsible position of bookkeeper for the Almand Supply Co., one of the largest and most progressive business firms in this section of Georgia. The Enterprise, October 25, 1907 MISS HEARD WEDS MR. R. H. WEAVER Two Popular Young People the Contracting Parties in a Beautiful Home Wedding Wednesday. On Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 o’clock, a marriage, beautiful in every detail was solemnized at the home of the bride’s parents, Capt. and Mrs. G. D. Heard, on Floyd Street, when Miss Mattie Susan Heard and Mr. Richmond Holley Weaver, of Mansfield, were joined in wedlock in the presence of a large number of relatives and invited guests. The home was lovely in its decorations of flowers typical of the autumn season. Ferns and roses were used in profusion and the scene could not have been made more beautiful. Miss Bessie Heard, sister of the bride and Mr. Joe S. McGarity, a warm friend of the groom, were the only attendants. The ceremony was most impressively performed by Rev. J. D. Radford, pastor of the Methodist Protestant Church at Carrollton. The large number of handsome and useful presents displayed attested the popularity of the young couple. Immediately after the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Weaver left amid a shower of best wishes and congratulations for Mansfield, where, in the evening, they were tendered an elegant reception at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Harwell. Mrs. Weaver is the eldest daughter of Capt. and Mrs. Heard and has by her amiable disposition and lovely traits of character, won a host of friends who wish for her all the happiness possible with the noble gentleman with whom she has joined heart and hand. Mr. Weaver came to Georgia from Alabama some three years ago and the Almand Supply and Hardware Co., for whom he has been the popular and most competent bookkeeper ever since, thing entirely too much of him to lose his services hence, he continues with this large and prosperous firm. His numberless friends feel he is most worthy of the fair bride he has won. Mr. and Mrs. Weaver are now at home to their friends in Mansfield. Among the out-of-town visitors were, Mr. and Mrs. E. L.
