H. Kelly, of Monticello, which occurred Thursday morning at the residence of Capt. and Mrs. J. O. Cooper in this city, the impressive ceremony being performed by Rev. J. P. Irwin, pastor of the Methodist Church of Monticello. The bridal party was entertained at an elaborate supper given at the Covington Hotel by Mrs. Reeves, the proprietress, on Wednesday evening. Among the Covington friends invited to meet the party being Capt. and Mrs. J. O. Cooper, Capt. and Mrs. James M. Pace, Rev. and Mrs. Eugene R. Pendleton, Dr. and Mrs. Luke Robinson, Mrs. Annie Pace Wooten, Mr. and Mrs. H. Branham Anderson, Misses Eloise Cooper, Lucy and Katherine Wooten, and Annie Belle Robinson. The out of town guests included Mr. Lucian Benton and Mr. J. H. Kelly, of Monticello, Mrs. J. D. Kilpatrick, of Atlanta, and Mrs. Henson, of Monticello. The bride is an aunt of Mrs. J. O. Cooper, of this city and a lady of rare culture and refinement. The groom is one of Monticello’s prosperous and substantial business men. Mr. and Mrs. Kelly left immediately after the ceremony for Monticello, where they will reside in the future.
