The Georgia Enterprise, Dec. 25, 1874
  Mr. J. J. (Rough) Griffin of "Hyacinthe Hill," was married to Miss E. E. 
Fickland, of Washington, Ga., on Tuesday eve, Dec. 22, by Rev. Morgan Callaway,
of Oxford. The attendants were Miss Maude Callaway and Dr. E. V. Branham, Miss 
Lizzie Branham and Mr. Robt. F. Wright. 
  To Rough and his fair and beautiful bride we would say, may life be a long 
sunny day and flowers of love forever bloom around your hearth and home. Rough 
Griffin is a man worthy to claim the heart and hand of any lady, and Miss 
Fickland deserved just such a husband as our dear friend Griffin will always 
prove to be. They have both made excellent selections and all their friends 
will congratulate them heartily.
