MARRIED
  On the morning of the 13th instant at the residence of the late Wm. J. Parks,
by the Rev. Wm. A. Florence, Mr. J. W. Bacon, of Lexington, Ga., to Mrs. Carrie
Thompson, of Oxford, Ga.
  May the sweetest joys of this life be gently poured upon the silvery head of 
friend Bacon and his fair bride. He met his lady love for the first time just
thirty days ago, and by his fascinating appearance and charming conversational
powers he won the heart of Oxford's most favorite widow and is now happy with 
her by his side. Long live Col. Bacon!
