L. L. Middlebrook, a young and rising lawyer, was married to Miss Emma Corley, the beautiful and accomplished daughter of our friend and fellow citizen Capt. J. T. Corley, on last night the 12th. To our young friends we offer our kindest compliments and wish for them a life full of peace and contentment, Col. Middlebrook has a bright and glorious future before him and with such a noble Christian lady to lead him onward we can but believe that fame and fortune will crowd his life with garlands of glory. The ceremony was performed by Rev. J. N. Bradshaw, in a short and very appropriate manner. The night was dark and rainy but the bright lights from the parlor window clearly showed that happiness and supreme bliss dwelled within. A small and select assembly of the friends and relatives of the bride and groom witnessed the impressive ceremony.
