W. Akers, of Atlanta, who is well and favorably known to the merchants and people of Georgia, was married to Miss Ella Shepherd, the beautiful and charming daughter of our friend and fellow citizen, Mr. T. J. Shepherd, on the evening of the 24th. The happy young couple left for Florida on the midnight train. We wish for them that joy which alone can be found in wedded union. Friend Akers can truthfully say of his lovely bride that, "She is as good as she is fair, And few on earth above her. As pure in thought as angels are, To see her was to love her." We return thanks to the Mother of the bride for a large plate of handsome cake from the wedding table, on which we know we can dream sweet dreams.
