R. Hines, which occurred at the Methodist church, at 5 o'clock Wednesday evening. The ceremony was witnessed by a magnificent audience, and the event was one that will be long remembered in Covington. Miss Womack is the charming daughter of Colonel Emmet Womack, a noted Georgian, now of Washington, D. C., and she is known throughout the state for her many attainments, beauty and literary accomplishments. Mr. Hines is a young lawyer who is fast rising in his chosen profession. He is a graduate of Emory College and a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and as a token of fidelity the chapter of his fraternity at Emory attended the ceremony in a body. Mr. Hines graduated at the University of Virginia last year, with high honors in the law course, and was admitted to the bar in Milledgeville this year. The marriage ceremony was performed by Rev. J. A. Timmerman, and it was a beautiful one, using the ring ceremony. The bride was attired in a beautiful wedding gown of white satin, trimmed with white lace. She wore a tulle veil, carrying a beautiful bouquet of white carnations and violets. The bride's maids were gowned in white organdies over pink and green lining with pink and green trimmings. Those who wore pink were Miss Mary Etheridge, of Washington, Miss Minnie Young, of Cedartown, and Misses Alice and Ruth Wright, of Covington. Those in green were Miss Susie Wells of Atlanta, Miss Beaulale Hines of Milledgeville, Miss Ollie Swann, of Covington and Miss Mamie Thomas of Oxford. Those in pink carried bouquets of white roses and those in green pink roses. Mr. Walter T. Johnson, of Savannah, acted as best man and Miss Florrie Henderson of Covington, as maid of honor. Miss Henderson was dressed entirely of white. Miss Lester of Atlanta, and Miss Annie Nell Franklin of Covington, were little flower girls, while Miss Mabel Lawrence of Atlanta, and Miss Annie Clyde Wright of Covington, were cushion girls. The cushion was of white satin, embroidered in white orange blossoms. Col. Jerry Moore, Mr. Milner Shivers, and Mr. Will Hines of Milledgeville, Mr. Miles Turner and Mr. Benjamin Simms of Covington, and Mr. Paul Wright, of Atlanta, were groomsmen. Prof. Rufus Robins, of Atlanta, played the wedding march on the magnificent pipe organ of the Methodist church. A brilliant reception was given the evening before the wedding at the home of Col. Womack, to the bridal party. This was a magnificent affair and pleasantly did Miss Womack spend her last evening of single blessedness. Mr. and Mrs. Hines left Wednesday evening for Atlanta, where they will spend a short while, from there they will go to their future home in Milledgeville.
