On Wednesday next, October 19, Otto P. Stallings, of this city, and Miss Minnie Mitchel of Fort Meade, will be united in marriage. The wedding ceremony will occur at 4 o'clock p. m. and the happy young couple will take the north bound train for an indefinitely extended trip to the middle and Atlantic states. Before returning Mr. Stalling and bride will take a visit to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. N. Stallings, at their home in Covington Ga., where a family reunion will add interest to their visit. The Groom and his best man, T. N. Henderson, of Tampa will leave on Monday evening for Fort Meade, where Miss Marry Spencer, the bride's intimate friend and cousin, has been for several days. Rev. Geo. W. Mitchell, uncle of the bride and pastor of the Methodist Episcopal Church at Fort Meade, will officiate at the ceremony, which will be a quiet home wedding the bride to wear a smart going away gown, with hat, gloves, wrap, etc., of the new regulation combination for traveling suits. Mr. Stallings came to Tampa in 189? to take a position with the Tampa Commercial company. _______ ____ ____ retired from business he accepted a position with H. C. Giddens, with whom he remained until 1894, since which time he has been with the wealthy and powerful firm of Beckwith & Henderson. From first to last he has so conducted himself that he is not only exceedingly popular in the best social circles, but is one of the most esteemed of the rising young business men in this city. The future Mrs. Stallings is the third daughter of Dr. and Mrs. C. L. Mitchell, of Fort Meade, and a niece of ex Governor Mitchell and Sheriff T. K. Spencer, of Tampa, and is connected with other old and influential families throughout the state. She is a lovely and lovable girl, a universal favorite in this city, where she has spent considerable time as a guest of Hon. W. B. Henderson, Sheriff Spencer and other prominent people, at various times. It was during one of these visits that the young people met in 1893, while Miss Minnie was a school girl, and for the past two years Mr. Stallings has been following up the acquaintance by a series of "important business trips" to Fort Meade at rapidly decreasing intervals, but their friends observed that this business never required him to leave town when Miss Mitchell was away from Fort Meade. The friends of both parties will unite in showers of good wishes, in which the Enterprise most cordially joins.
