MARRIED - CARROLL- HICKS
     Mr. J. H. Carroll, Jr., was united in marriage to Miss Mae Hicks, on 
Thursday eve, June 24th. Both of Covington. Rev. H. S. Bradley, of Oxford, 
officiated. The groom is a popular and progressive young man, being in the 
mercantile business at Midway, having just bought out Messrs. Huson Bros. The 
bride is a lovely and accomplished young lady, being a daughter of the late Mr. 
N. H. Hicks. Wherever known she is admired and highly esteemed. The attendants 
were: Mr. Joe Z. Johnson and Miss Mattie R. Carroll; Prof. R. E. Carroll and 
Miss Eura Woodruff. A number of friends and relatives witnessed the happy 
event. Refreshments were served in lavish abundance. May peace, health and 
happiness bless this blissful union from the bridal to the tomb.
