W. Carroll. Only a few friends were present as it was not known until a few minutes before the ceremony, which Rev. R. C. Cleckler performed in a manner impressive and beautiful. Their friends suspected their engagement but had no thought of the courtship eminating in marriage at such an early date. Mrs. Powell is a woman of many noble qualities and her sweet disposition and lovable ways have won her many lasting friends who wish her much happiness in her new life. Mr. Powell has until recently been an employee of the Georgia railroad at this place and is now the joint agent of the Georgia railroad and the G. J. & S. at Monroe. He is popular in business circles and is held in high esteem by those who know him. Mr. and Mrs. Powell left immediately for their home at Monroe.
