McCain-Martin
  On last Tuesday morning at the home of the bride's parents, Rev. and Mrs.
J. E. Martin, of Hopewell, Miss Pauline Martin and Prof. James R. McCain,
of Rome, were united in marriage. Rev. L. I. Echols officiating. Miss Martin
is one of Newton county's most popular and cultured young ladies while Prof.
McCain is principal of the Rome High School and is very popular with both
pupils and patrons of the school.
  Mr. and Mrs. McCain left immediately for Chicago and other points of interest
in the West, for a months visit after which they will return to Rome where
they will make their future home.
