MARRIAGE IN HIGH LIFE
  At the residence of Mr. J. L. McCalla, cousin of the bride in Sheffield,
on last Wednesday 24th inst, Rev. W. A. Harris of the Logansville circuit
officiating, were united in the holy bonds of matrimony Mr. Alfred N. Hays
and Miss Mollie V. Yancy.
  The groom is one of Newton county's leading citizens and most successful
farmers, and the fair bride one of Rockdale's loveliest daughters.
  The ceremony was performed at 12 p. m. in the presence of the relatives
of the contracting parties and one or two special friends of the groom.
  After congratulations and good wishes were extended, the happy couple
and guests repaired to the spacious dining hall, which was tastefully decked
with wild flowers, when a feast of good things were spread and served,
presided over by the genial hostess, Mrs. M. L. McCalla, and her excellent
aids, which were ??????.
