Simms, of Covington, was united in marriage to Miss Ernestine Wharton, of Decatur, on Wednesday, Jan. 30th. The ceremony was performed by Rev. L. G. Johnson, at the residence of the bride’s sister, Mrs. J. A. H. Harper. Miss Ernestine is the youngest daughter of the late George C. Wharton, Esq., of Charleston, South Carolina. The groom is a rising young lawyer and a gentleman of honor and high integrity, while the bride is a young lady of beauty and culture, possessed of every qualification of mind and heart to make the life and home of her gallant husband happy and contented. May health, peace and prosperity be ever remain with friend Richard and his lovely companion.
