I give unto my wife Sarah Wallis the plantation whereon I now live susposed to be four hundred acres with all the land I now own in my own right. Three Negroes to wit. Morgan, Edward, and July together with all my plantation tools, household and kitchen furniture, my stock of horses, cattle, hogs, and sheep during her lifetime or widowhood provided never the less she is to make John, Zaphnaphpaanah. and William Wriley my grandson up equal with the fifty-five acres of land I have heretofore given to my son Nicholas Wallis as they severally arrive to the age of twenty one years in land land at the face valuation taking into view the quality of the land given to Nicholas. And my daughters Mary, Elizabeth, Rebeccah A, Sarah A. S., Margarett M., Aseneah Vanburen, at the death or intermarriage of my wife is to be made up equal with the above land given to my sons as they come of age or marry provided it suits the convience of my wife so to do and my daughter Mary and son Zaphnathpaanah is to have fifty dollars a peace (sp) more than the rest of my children at the final decision of my property and at the death or intermarriage of my wife all of the property which may then be left is to be equally divided between all of my children and I do hereby constitute and ordain my wife Sarah Wallis my soul Exector of this my last will and testament this 19th day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty. Baker and John Meadows who being duly sworn deposeth & saith that they saw William Wallis sign seal publish and declare the foregoing instrument to be & contain his last will & testament & that he was of sound disposing mind and memory at the time signing the same that he executed the same freely without compulsion so far as we know, and that we signed the same as witness in the presence of the testator and of each other & that they saw Patrick H Norris do so likewise.
